Vesa Tykkyläinen has been promoted to the CEO role at Basware after just nine months with the company, succeeding Esa Tihilä who is stepping down after five years. Tykkyläinen was senior vice president of Basware’s network business area since joining in January 2016. Previously, he was vice president of the liquid core business line at Nokia. He has 25 years of experience in the technology industry.
Basware’s chairman of the board of directors Hannu Vaajoensuu said, “Vesa brings extensive experience of managing large teams in the global technology industry across international roles comprising business management, product development and sales and marketing positions. While leading the Basware network business area he has proved effective at executing Basware’s strategy and is a skilled team builder.”
Basware is a provider of networked purchase-to-pay solutions, e-invoicing and innovative financing services.
