Dutch-based training and consultancy company Capital Chains has announced two new hires to the recent start-up. The company was founded in 2015 by Steven van der Hooft and specialises in financial supply chain management.
Joost van den Hondel, who joins as partner, has over 18 years’ experience in financial services most notably at Ernst and Young, Capgemini and ING. He is also the initiator and programme manager for Betaalme.nu (Pay Me Now), the Dutch government initiative to help ease SME suppliers’ access to reasonably-priced liquidity.
Matthijs van Bergen will be a consultant having previously worked as a researcher in supply chain finance at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. Van Bergen also worked as an independent consultant advising companies including Heineken, Unilever and Philips.
Van der Hooft said, “Joost is an experienced programme manager who will be able to lead some of the longer programmes. Matthijs will have a more analytic, strategic focus. He is a very smart guy, studied supply chain finance, and brings energy, youth, enthusiasm and skills.”
Van der Hooft will be introducing the Open RFI session and Van den Hondel talk more around betaalme.nu at this year’s Supply Chain Finance Forum in Amsterdam.
