Working capital solutions provider Demica has continued to grow its team in London.
Enrique Jimenez (right), former head of trade & supply chain finance at Santander, has been poached by Demica to become its senior supply chain finance origination director. This key hire comes at the same time as Angel Blanco and Marc Wolf also join the expanding origination team as directors.
Tim Davies, head of origination, said, “We have been aggressively growing our origination team over the last year as we work with existing and new clients to find solutions for their working capital requirements. We announced recently that we’ve been mandated for over US$1bn of new live transactions and with Angel, Enrique and Marc on board we look forward to continuing to grow this number.”
The new appointments will be based in London and Europe and will report directly to Davies.
Demica has invested heavily in senior hires since it was taken over in August 2014 by a group of private equity and institutional investors. Matt Wreford was brought in CEO and outlined a plan to diversify Demica’s offerings from supply chain finance, trade receivables securitisation, and invoice discounting platforms to providing capital in the SCF and TRS transactions that are on its platform. Wreford’s hires included key appointments such as Tim Davies as head of origination, François Terrade as head of structuring, Jen Collet as COO, Giovanni Lazzeri as origination director and Karel Krejci as SCF origination director.
Other recent joiners include Mansour Davarian as associate director of origination, Markus Musielak as a director of structuring, and Luke Thompstone as senior infrastructure engineer.
