Some of the world’s leading companies are finalists in the inaugural Supply Chain Finance Awards, organized by the Supply Chain Finance Community. Arcelor Mittal, Lufthansa, Puma, SAB Miller, Vodafone and X5 Retail Group from Russia have been shortlisted for the Gold Award which be presented at a dinner held at the Beurs van Berlage in central Amsterdam on 8th December 2016, following the SCF Community Forum.

Entries for the awards, sponsored by Deutsche Bank, covered a wide range of supplier finance practices from around the world – from Europe, the US, Russia, South Africa and Indonesia – highlighting the worldwide usage of supplier finance.

“We were delighted with the range and quality of entries in our first-ever awards,” said Michiel Steeman, chair of the judging panel and director of the Supply Chain Finance Community. “They demonstrate how supply chain finance is coming of age as a tool to optimise working capital without harming the supply chain.”

The awards will be presented across a range of industry categories, from technology and telecoms to, manufacturing, with ‘the best of the best’ being named as the overall Gold Award winner.

There will also be awards for the SCF Innovation of the Year and SCF Leader of the Year.

The entries were assessed by an independent judging panel of corporate treasurers, procurement specialists and business school professors. Places at the dinner can be booked at www.scfawards.com.
